Attaullah
Baloch, age 28, is a Baloch musician, originally from Kech, Naigvor, Balochistan.
He has been living in UAE, Dubai
since his early childhood. He is Happily married with two children and he is the
grandson of Mr. Doshmabe Koohi, a well
known Baloch musician who plays Sorud. Unfortunately he can't play nowadays due
to his old age. His uncle Mr. Khurshid Naigvory
is another member of his family who is a well known Sorud player.(Photo:

Attaullah has also performed with great Baloch artists such as
Aslam Asad,
Sudhir Baloch, Bakshi Baloch and
Shah Jaan Dawoodi.
He has also learned to play the Surooz a bit since it is one of the most
difficult instruments; my teacher is Mr. Rasoolbaksh Zangshahi (who requires no
introduction when we talk about Balochi Music) has given me a few hints.
I am not a professional since it has been a hobby and whatever I play comes
directly from the heart I have not attended any classes of music it’s just that,
one should have the will and encouragement. I mainly play BASS / CHORDS whenever
there is a function and I am called. I have played with a number of our great
singers who visits us from Balochistan, and most of all experience is what takes
you towards being a professional musician which for me is very far to achieve,
“Said Attaullah”.
Attaullah is looking forward to play more with more artists and continue his
path of music to reach to his goal of a successful musician. His style of
playing Balochi music on keyboards will inspire more Baloch youths to give a new
face to Balochi music and introduce the richness of Baloch culture and music to
the world.
